Welcome to the “How to Join” section. We are currently accepting new members to our club and the best way to find out if what we do suits your photographic need is to come along and see us in action.

We meet every Tuesday evening from January to the end of June then from September to the end of December. Meetings are held at Spencer Road Methodist Church, 93 Spencer Road, Wigan WN1 2QR starting at 7:30pm and ending at 10:00pm

We run a very varied and interesting syllabus that aims to cater for all areas of interest in photography. It runs on a basic four week cycle. Therefore as a prospective new member you are allowed to attend the clubs meetings on four occasions without having to commit to join us. This will allow you to see each of the varied activities for yourself and it will enable you to assess if the club is right for you.

Once you have decided to join you will have to pay the subscription fee, for 2024 these are currently:


Full Member £50 per year

Student/Under 25 £25

Attendance Fee £2 for each meeting attended on the night.


The membership year runs from our Annual General Meting (AGM) which is held in April to April the following year. If you join after April you will be required to pay only part of the annual fee based on a sliding scale - outlined below:


April to June - Full annual subscription
July to September - Three quarters of the annual subscription
October to December - Half the annual subscription
January to March - One quarter of the annual subscription
